Dom and Paula Scarpantoni planted their first vines in 1979 and the family still handles every step from vineyard to bottle. The cellar door on Scarpantoni Drive is exactly what a McLaren Flat winery should be: easygoing, family-friendly and pitched at genuine wine drinkers.
The wine line-up
The range is huge - sparkling, rose, shiraz, cabernet, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, Italian varieties and a Block 3 shiraz that has a cult following. Prices are refreshingly sensible and walk-ins are welcome.
