A third-generation Italian-Australian family making Nebbiolo, Fiano, Vermentino and Shiraz from estate vines, with a relaxed rustic cellar door.

A family of Italian growers

The Zerella family have been growing grapes in McLaren Vale for three generations and started making their own wine in the early 2000s. The lineup leans heavily into Italian varieties - Nebbiolo, Fiano, Vermentino, Sangiovese, Aglianico - alongside the McLaren Vale Shiraz.

At the cellar door

A relaxed, rustic tasting room at the family vineyard. The Zerellas pour the wines themselves, and most visits turn into long conversations about grape varieties.
