A brewery on a vineyard
Penny Red is one of the newer additions to the Fleurieu beer scene, set up by Jess and Craig - a UK-trained brewing couple who landed in The Range hinterland and built a brewery into a working vineyard property on Pennys Hill Road. The taphouse looks out across the rows of vines toward the Willunga Scarp.
The beers
Thirteen taps run continuously, all brewed onsite and pouring everything from a clean lager and a hazy pale to one-off seasonal releases. Tasting paddles make it easy to find your favourite.
What's there to eat
A fresh wood-fired pizza kitchen runs on tap days, and the venue is dog-friendly and family-friendly. Open weekends only.
