A high-rainfall reserve
Spring Mount Conservation Park is a 270-hectare bushland reserve sitting on the Heysen Trail south-east of Myponga, in the higher-rainfall hill country of the central Fleurieu. The vegetation is a mix of stringybark forest, low woodland and scrub.
What you'll find
Kangaroos, echidnas, possums and a long list of bushland birds. The Heysen Trail runs through the park, so you can do shorter walks from the access points or use the park as a section of a longer trail walk.
Practical
Free entry, basic access points, no facilities. Bring water and a hat in summer.
