The Mount Compass Tavern (also known as the Mount Compass Hotel) sits on the main Victor Harbor road through Mount Compass, the natural rest stop on the Adelaide to Victor Harbor drive. It is a proper country pub - long bar, wide bistro, beer garden out the back, accommodation rooms upstairs.
What's on the menu
Standard pub bistro - parmas, schnitzels, steaks, gourmet pizzas, a kids menu and daily specials. The kitchen runs lunch and dinner seven days. The beer garden gets a steady local crowd in summer.
Live music
Regular weekend live music programme through the warmer months. The pub is also one of the few late-trading venues in the Mount Compass hinterland - useful for travellers who land mid-evening.
