SeaLink Cape Jervis Ferry Terminal

The departure point for daily SeaLink ferries to Kangaroo Island - the defining infrastructure of Cape Jervis township and a Backstairs Passage viewing point in its own right.

Gateway to Kangaroo Island

The SeaLink Cape Jervis Ferry Terminal is the only vehicle ferry departure point in Australia for Kangaroo Island, with the Spirit of Kangaroo Island and Sealion 2000 ferries running multiple sailings a day across Backstairs Passage. The terminal is the defining feature of the Cape Jervis township and the first or last stop for almost everyone visiting Kangaroo Island.

Worth a stop in itself

Even if you are not catching a ferry, the terminal is worth a stop - the carpark sits high above Backstairs Passage with a panoramic view across to Kangaroo Island, and on a clear day you can see the cliffs of Cape Cassini on the KI side. The ferry departures themselves are a small spectacle.

Practical

The terminal has a kiosk, toilets, parking (paid for ferry passengers) and a covered waiting area. Multiple sailings a day - check the SeaLink site for current timetable.
