Noon Winery

Cult Grenache, open only in November

Legendary cult winery by Drew Noon MW, making small batches of some of Australia's most sought-after Grenache and Shiraz. Open only three weekends a year.

A cult Grenache producer

Noon Winery is the small-batch family winery of Drew Noon MW (Master of Wine) and Rae Noon, continuing a McLaren Vale winemaking tradition that began in 1976 with Drew's father David Noon. It is widely regarded as one of Australia's greatest cult wineries.

The Noon wines

Noon makes just a handful of wines each vintage, including Reserve Shiraz, Eclipse Grenache/Shiraz, VP Shiraz (a port-style fortified) and the rare Sparkling Reserve Shiraz. Production is tiny, and the winery's fanatical mailing list subscribers snap up each release within days of opening.

When to visit

Noon is famous for being open to the public for only three consecutive weekends each November, after the new vintage is released. No booking is required - just show up during those weekends. The mailing list is currently fully subscribed with a waiting list for new members.
