Shingleback Wines

Red Knot Shiraz & an 1800s barn

Family-owned winery at the entrance to the McLaren Vale township, based around a beautifully restored 1800s ironstone farm barn.

A McLaren Vale family story

Shingleback was established in 1995 by the Davey family and today is one of McLaren Vale's most successful mid-sized producers, home of the widely exported Red Knot and flagship D Block Shiraz labels.

Cellar door in a restored barn

The cellar door sits in the original Aldersey Farm barn, built in the late 1800s and restored in 2003. It marks the western entrance to the McLaren Vale township, making it one of the first wineries most visitors see as they arrive.
