A biodynamic pioneer
Paxton Wines was founded by viticulturist David Paxton in 1979, with the first wines made in 1998. Paxton has been certified organic and biodynamic since 2011, one of the larger certified producers in McLaren Vale. The estate makes a full range of Shiraz, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Chardonnay.
Cellar door
The cellar door on Wheaton Road is a converted 1860s barn and is open 7 days a week for wine tasting, with estate wines and the TillyBelle's Bar wine bar pop-up available seasonally.
