Oliver's Taranga Vineyards

180+ years of family viticulture

Sixth-generation family vineyard founded in 1841, one of the oldest continuous winegrowing families in McLaren Vale.

A pioneering family

The Oliver family arrived in McLaren Vale in 1839 and planted their first vines in 1841 at Taranga. Today Oliver's Taranga is a sixth-generation family business, with Corrina Wright (named Australia's first female Winemaker of the Year by Gourmet Traveller WINE) leading the winemaking.

Flagship wines

The HJ Reserve Shiraz (named after Henry James Oliver) is the flagship wine, but Oliver's Taranga is also famous for pioneering alternative varietals in the region including Fiano, Mencia, Vermentino and Tempranillo.
