Islanders Tavern
The only pub on Hindmarsh Island - a relaxed country tavern serving counter meals, local wine and beer, with views to the river channel and the Goolwa bridge.
A tavern on the island
The Islanders Tavern is the only licensed pub on Hindmarsh Island, just east of the Goolwa bridge in the centre of the small island community. It is a country pub of the proper kind - a long bar, a separate dining room, beer garden out the back.
What's served
Standard pub bistro - parmas, schnitzels, pizzas, fish and chips, daily specials. Local Fleurieu wines and beer on tap. A natural lunch stop on a Hindmarsh Island drive that includes the Sturt Monument, the Goolwa Barrage and the Murray Mouth.
