The Hindmarsh Island Sturt Monument is a stone obelisk on Hindmarsh Island commemorating the British explorer Charles Sturt, who in February 1830 became the first European to navigate the lower Murray and reach the Murray Mouth. The monument stands close to the spot where Sturt's whaleboat is believed to have come ashore.
