Chester Osborn's five-storey glass cube rising out of the d'Arenberg vineyards - part wine tasting room, part fine-dining restaurant, part art gallery, part Salvador Dali museum.

A Rubik's cube in the vines

The d'Arenberg Cube was completed in 2017 to a design by chief winemaker Chester Osborn. It is a five-storey glass-faced building that looks like an unsolved Rubik's cube dropped into the d'Arenberg vineyards, and the architecture itself is a destination - it won Best Architecture and Landscape and the Best Tourist Attraction Award at the South Australian Tourism Awards 2018, and the International Best of Wine Tourism award at the Great Wine Capitals Global Network Awards in the same year.

What's inside

Five storeys of art, wine and surrealism. Ground floor: a contemporary art gallery and the Alternate Realities Museum, currently featuring 25 authentic Salvador Dali bronze sculptures and graphic artworks. Mid-floors: the wine tasting room, a virtual fermenter, and a 360-degree video room. Top floor: the d'Arenberg Cube Restaurant, with sweeping views of McLaren Vale.

Visiting

General admission tickets cover the gallery, museum and tasting experiences. Restaurant bookings are separate and recommended well in advance.
