Historic agricultural town on the western Fleurieu, once one of the five major towns of colonial South Australia and still the service centre for the surrounding farming district.
A colonial centre
Yankalilla is a historic agricultural town on the Fleurieu Peninsula, 72km south of Adelaide. During the colonial era of the mid-1800s it was considered one of the five major towns of South Australia, thanks to its position at the heart of a rich farming district and on the main road south to the Kangaroo Island ferry.
