Second Valley Jetty
The iconic curved timber jetty at Second Valley - one of the most photographed coastal structures in South Australia, a fishing and snorkelling launch point.
The signature Second Valley shot
The Second Valley Jetty is the curved timber pier that runs out from the eastern headland of Second Valley cove, framed by sandstone cliffs and the small surf beach. It is one of the most photographed jetties in South Australia - the curve of the structure against the cliffs and the reef has become iconic on Instagram and tourism brochures.
What it's used for
Fishing off the deck, snorkelling and scuba diving from the steps at the end (the reef beneath the jetty is part of the leafy seadragon habitat that runs along this coastline), and just walking out for the view.
Practical
Free, walk-in only from the Second Valley carpark. The jetty is exposed in big swell - check the conditions before walking out.
