Fine dining at Maxwell Wines
The Maxwell Restaurant sits above the Maxwell Wines cellar door on the corner of Olivers Road and Chalk Hill Road in McLaren Vale. The menu leans firmly on Fleurieu produce with a modern Australian slant, and the wine list is drawn almost exclusively from Maxwell's own vineyards - including their small but historic mead production.
Lunch and limited dinner service
The restaurant is open for lunch Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon, with dinner service on Saturday evenings from 6:30pm. Bookings are essential and the dining room fills up quickly during the McLaren Vale festival seasons. Pair a meal with a walk through the Maxwell Lavyrinth, a full-scale hedge maze planted within the vineyards.
