Kay Brothers Amery Vineyards

One of McLaren Vale's oldest wineries

Founded in 1890, Kay Brothers Amery is one of the oldest continuously operating family-owned wineries in McLaren Vale, famous for Block 6 Shiraz.

A living heritage winery

Kay Brothers Amery was founded in 1890 by brothers Herbert and Frederick Kay and remains entirely family-owned today. Its hand-planted Block 6 Shiraz vines, planted in 1892, are among the oldest continuously producing Shiraz vines in the world and make the flagship Block 6 Shiraz.

Cellar door experience

The cellar door sits in the original 1890 winery buildings on Kays Road and offers seated tasting flights, wines by the glass, and regional produce platters. Groups of up to 8 do not need to book ahead; larger groups should book in advance.
