A small family Jersey dairy in the Mount Compass hinterland, hand-crafting hard-style farmhouse cheese from a single herd of grass-fed Jersey cows.

A single-herd farmhouse dairy

Alexandrina Cheese is one of the few genuinely on-farm dairies left on the Fleurieu - the Pridham family runs around sixty Jersey cows on their Mount Jagged property, milks them on site, and turns the 250,000 litres of grass-fed milk produced each year into hard-style farmhouse cheese in the dedicated cheese room next to the milking shed.

What's at the door

The cellar door pours cheese tastings and sells the full range across the counter. The cafe alongside serves cheese platters, ploughman's lunches and a short menu built around the day's cheese and the family's other Jersey dairy products - butter, cream and yoghurt.

Getting there

The dairy sits on Sneyd Road about 8km south of Mount Compass, signposted off the main Victor Harbor road. It pairs naturally with a drive to Hindmarsh Falls or Myponga Reservoir.
