Strathalbyn has long been known as the antiques capital of South Australia, and the annual Collectors Hobbies and Antiques Fair is the town's biggest event of the year. More than 100 exhibitors set up in and around the Soldiers Memorial Gardens with collectables, antiques, vintage glass, porcelain, jewellery, books and memorabilia.
